The Listening Wall was born from a shared love of acoustic music, storytelling, and the kind of songs that linger long after the last chord fades. Kathryn and Jim first came together over a mutual passion for original music that speaks honestly to the human experience.
Over the years, their sound has evolved into something distinctly their own — a blend of jazz folk, new americana, ambient textures, and blues that defies easy categorization. What remains constant is their commitment to authentic, heartfelt performance.

Kathryn Webster is an accomplished musician, vocalist, and songwriter whose artistry spans a wide range of musical experiences. As one half of the acoustic rhythm folk duo The Listening Wall, she brings a warm, soulful presence to original music rooted in storytelling and rich harmonies. Her vocal talent has taken her to prestigious stages, including performances with both the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and the esteemed Atlanta Symphony Chamber Chorus. With over 20 years of experience teaching voice, Kathryn has guided countless students in finding and developing their own unique sound. Whether performing on stage, writing songs, or leading worship at her local church, she approaches every musical setting with passion, professionalism, and heart.
Jim Stallings
Guitarist & Songwriter
Jim Stallings is a seasoned guitarist, songwriter, and musical storyteller whose playing forms the harmonic backbone of The Listening Wall. With decades of experience spanning folk, blues, jazz, and americana, Jim brings a richly textured fingerpicking style that gives the duo its distinctive acoustic warmth. His writing draws from a lifetime of careful listening — to people, to places, and to the quiet spaces between notes. As a collaborator, Jim's instinct is always to serve the song, whether laying down a delicate fingerstyle arrangement or finding the chord that makes a lyric land just right. Together with Kathryn, he has built something rare: music that feels both timeless and entirely their own.
